Privacy Policy
Ascended Scaling (“we”, “us”) is a social media marketing agency based in Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas. This policy explains what we collect when you use ascendedscaling.com, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it. It applies to this website, including our campaign landing pages.
Information you give us
When you fill in a form on this site, we collect what you type into it:
- Enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the service you are interested in, and your message.
- Campaign landing page form: your name, email address, phone number and the service you are interested in.
- Booking a strategy call: your name, email address, phone number, business name (optional), what the call is about, and the time you chose.
We only ask for what we need to reply to you and run the call. You are not required to give us anything — but without an email address or phone number we cannot get back to you.
Information collected automatically
When a form is submitted we also record, alongside it:
- the page you submitted from, and the page you first arrived on;
- the website that referred you, if any;
- campaign parameters in the link you clicked (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign,utm_content,utm_term) and Meta’s click identifier (fbclid), so we know which advert brought you here; - your IP address and browser user-agent string.
Advertising and analytics — the Meta Pixel
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. When advertising is switched on, this site loads the Meta Pixel, a piece of code from Meta Platforms, Inc. that records a page view and, when you submit a form, that a lead was created. The Pixel sets cookies in your browser (_fbp and, if you arrived from an advert, _fbc).
We also use Meta’s Conversions API, which sends the same event from our server rather than your browser. When we do, contact details are hashed with SHA-256 before they are sent — Meta receives an irreversible fingerprint of your email address and phone number, used only to match the event to an account, and never the details themselves. Your IP address and user-agent are sent so Meta can judge how reliable that match is. The browser event and the server event share one identifier so the same action is not counted twice.
Meta processes this data as an independent controller under its own terms. You can see and change what Meta does with it in your Facebook or Instagram settings, and you can stop the Pixel entirely with a tracker-blocking browser or extension — the forms on this site keep working if you do.
Cookies and local storage
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies of its own. The only cookies on the public pages are the Meta Pixel’s, described above. We keep the campaign parameters from your visit in your browser’s sessionStorage instead of a cookie: it stays on your device, is sent to us only when you submit a form, and is erased when you close the tab. A single cookie is used to keep our own team signed in to the admin area, which is not part of the public site.
How we use your information
- to reply to your enquiry and prepare for your call;
- to put your call on our calendar and send you a confirmation;
- to understand which adverts and campaigns bring in real enquiries, so we stop wasting money on the rest;
- to keep records of work we have quoted and carried out.
We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing emails to people who only submitted an enquiry.
Who else sees it
Your details are handled by us and by the services that run this site:
- Our server host — the site and its database run on a private virtual server we control.
- Google — a booked call is written into our Google Calendar, which means your name, email, phone number and what the call is about are stored in that calendar entry.
- Meta — hashed contact details and event data, as described above, when advertising is on.
- Our email provider — delivers the notification to us and the confirmation to you.
- Our workflow tools — new enquiries may be passed to an automation tool we use to keep track of follow-up.
We will also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and bookings are kept for as long as we may reasonably need them for the relationship and our records, and no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you unless you become a client, in which case we keep them for the duration of the engagement and seven years afterwards for accounting purposes. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will.
Your rights
Write to us at TraivonTaylor@ascendedscaling.com and you can ask us to:
- send you a copy of what we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your details;
- stop using your details for anything other than a legal obligation.
We will deal with any of these within 30 days.
Children
This site is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, tell us and we will remove them.
Changes
If we change this policy we will change the date at the top. Material changes to how we use your information will be announced on this page.
